Hey Spanker,

my name is Liz Book. I have been at war with the city of Daytona Beach for the past four years. I have been fighting their arrests of caucasian biker women who dare to bare their breasts during the Bikeweek, Biketoberfest, and Spring Break events. I have done three protests since 2004 and been arrested for two of them. Daytona has dragged me through the court system as far as they could go. They lost every case. I have won in two local judicial courts and in two of Florida's Appellate Courts. What I have won is the right for women to protest Daytona's arrests barebreasted. The high courts have ruled that it is implemental to the message we are sending to protest topless. They have not decrimalized our breasts and continue to make random arrests of women who dare to bare. The sad parts of this are that they charge an exorbitant fine and they also charge us with a a state sex offenders' statute. 800.03 exposure of sexual organs. Even teenage girls at Spring Break are charged with this sex crime. It will never come off their criminal records. Sex crimes don't. I will continue my protests until they, Daytona officials, realize that the number of women they are arresting actually reflects a lifestyle choice. I will continue until we have won the decriminalization of our breasts. I am calling the protest "The International Topfree Stand". T.I.T.S. I have chosen a day, March 8th, that is actually protected by the United Nations as a day for women to step up in protest around the world for issues that concern us. My attorney's may also be seeking a Federal Injunction against Daytona to prevent any further arrests during the protest. I dedicate all of my protests to our troops and to our veterans. They have fought and are fighting to protect our rights to free speech and peaceful protest. How could I not honor them, as I also fight for the right to free speech and peaceful protest? I am hopeful that you may be able to help me get the word out to people who might have an interest in standing with me on that day. Daytona Beach has been the greatest violator of women and defiler of our breasts in the entire nation for twenty years. I say, "This is poetic justice coming back to bite them in the ass." My attorneys are in the process of negotiating the protest site and the agreement with Daytona to not make any arrests. If they do not reply by the 30th of January, my attorneys will seek the Injunction. This time when we step out, we will be protected. I will certainly keep you updated if you would like. It is the last Saturday of Bikeweek. I am hoping to get the site that is on the west side of the Main Street bridge by BMW Cycles. Maybe I will even see you there.
